Korean Center, Inc.(KCI) founded in 1974, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by providing informational, educational, and social services to underserved immigrant and other communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
KCI Senior/Social Service Coordinator will coordinate and be supervised by the Program Director with ensuring that programs and services are properly delivered to families in the San Francisco community. This position will include a variety of responsibilities such as coordinating social and senior programs, leading workshops, providing services required by APFIRN Program, and other duties as assigned.
Duties and responsibilities:
This is a temporary position until the end of August 2020 with the possibility of the extension based on the available funding.
The Position’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the day-to-day implementation of planned educational and social activities for the KCI Senior/Social Service Program;
-Communicate respectfully with families of KCI community
-Plan and coordinate social service programs that may include(but not limited to) the following services: outreach, workshops, family & senior event and etc.
-Attend API monthly/quarterly meeting if necessary
-Recruit and manage volunteers for the programs
-Recruit and supervise qualified instructors or lecturers for the programs
-Attend social service events/workshops to improve the range of KCI Social Service program if necessary
-Communicate closely with the seniors of the classes, workshop and services offered
-Provide day-to-day programming services
-Provide administrative duties as assigned
-Other duties as assigned
-Strong verbal communication skills required in both English and Korean
-Must be punctual and reliable, ability to work independently and as part of team
-must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with children, parents, seniors and community partner
-Outstanding interpersonal skills: must display patience, humility and helpfulness at all times
-1~2 years of continuous experience in a program coordinator position (preferred)
- Car required
-Bilingual in Korean required
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: $18.00 /hour
